AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Latest Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
